邓秀新

邓秀新简历:男,1961年11月生,新中国培养的第一位果树学博士,华中农业大学教授,博士生导师,国家现代农业(柑橘)产业技术体系首席科学家。1996年获国家杰出青年科学基金,2001年受聘教育部长江学者特聘教授,2007年当选中国工程院院士。1981年12月本科毕业于湖南农业大学园艺系;1982-1987年,华中农业大学攻读硕士、博士学位;1987年12月毕业,获博士学位并留校任教。1990、1992年,分别晋升为副教授、教授。1989年、1993年和1996年三次前往美国佛罗里达大学柑橘研究及教育中心进行合作研究。牵头“园艺作物种质资源研究与遗传改良”国家自然科学基金创新研究群体;获国家科技进步二等奖1项,湖北省科技进步一等奖1项,湖北省自然科学二等奖1项。受聘国务院学位委员会委员,农业部果树顾问专家组组长。曾任国际柑橘学会主席(2004-2008),中国柑橘学会理事长(1998-2009), 中国园艺学会副理事长(2005-2013), 《Scientia Horticulturae》共同主编(2007-2014)。
